SECRET AGENT - Originally based in the vibrant hub of Mexico City and later relocated to Chicago, they have emerged as a captivating 'Psy Spy Instro Surf' trio, weaving sonic tapestries that traverse borders and captivate audiences far and wide after touring the USA, Mexico, South America, and Puerto Rico.

 

With a penchant for breaking musical barriers, RICK DELIZ (Guitars) joined forces with RACK AGUIRRE (Bass) and original drummer ALIS EMERSON, with recording guest JUAN J. COVARRUBIAS (Synths). Together, they concocted a mesmerizing fusion of classic '60s Surf Rock, Post-Punk vibes, and the distant twang of Rockabilly, all steeped in the intrigue of spy films and the rugged allure of Spaghetti Westerns.

 

Their journey unfolds with PEDRO PISTOLA PIÑATA PARTY (EP 2017), featuring unique interpretations of retro classic cover songs produced by Scott Hackwith (Ramones / Spiritualized), recorded in Los Angeles, and accompanied by the animated allure of the 'Peter Gunn Theme' music video crafted by Alex Garbage (Los Esquizitos).

 

MATA HARI (EP 2019) further illuminates their musical odyssey, recorded between Puerto Rico and Mexico City. It features original vocal collaborations in Spanish with luminaries such as Vince (Rebel Cats), Marcela Viejo (Quiero Club), and Carlos Ann (Bushido), plus a long-term alliance with graphic artist Pedro García (Stoner Graphics) and a new label, Triple Agent Records.

 

In 2020, Double Crown Records immortalized both their EPs in CD format titled A PAIR OF ACES, meticulously mastered by the illustrious Grammy-winning Gavin Lurssen (Billy Idol / Reverend Horton Heat). They also covered the Ramones' 'Rockaway Beach' on Kafadan Kontakt Records and were included on vinyl compilations by Otitis Media and Missing Fink Records.

 

Their evolution takes center stage with MOROS EN LA COSTA (Album 2021), recorded in Mexico City, where chameleon rhythms effortlessly shift from down-and-dirty shimmer to crux-riding licks, featuring guest vocalist Daniel Gutiérrez (La Gusana Ciega) and produced by Esteban 'Crunchy' López (Lost Acapulco).

 

In 2023, they released the EP LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Dave Klein (Agent Orange / The Ghastly Ones) in Los Angeles. It featured an illustrious lineup of special guests, including Robert López (El Vez), Priscilla Escobar, and Dafne Carballo (Descartes A Kant), plus Rick's debut on lead vocals.

 

In 2024, they welcomed new drummer HEATHER VRSEK and released GOING (INSTRO) MENTAL, an all-instrumental album of their vocal song catalog, plus a live track covering Black Sabbath's instrumental / drum solo 'Rat Salad', featuring Heather on drums.
